Eco-friendly Companies List – Eco-friendly Companies
This Eco-friendly Companies List was compiled in no real particular order other than each company listed is actively working to enhance their service to the community; specifically in terms of being more environmentally conscious and safe. Eco-friendly Companies are collectively working together within their respective industries to try and make their “carbon footprint” that much less severe and they deserve a shout out!
When it comes to Eco-friendly Shopping the company providing the product does have a certain responsibility to the customer, the community they serve and the planet they inhabit. We all kind of know that, but what is important to understand is that the customer has a much, much greater responsibility. Informed consumers can change the world and by collectively buying Eco-friendly and energy efficient products from responsible companies, we can eventually weed out the companies that simply will not move forward with the times.
We may be affiliated with some of the companies featured on this list; however we would like to make it clear, that has nothing to do with them being listed here. We chose each company based on our knowledge in the Going Green Industry and more Green Employers are sure to come in future installments of this Eco-Friendly Stores Guide.
Eco-friendly Companies List
For our first look at companies of the 21st century we are going to look at the Eco-friendly Companies Buy Green, Solay Wellness, Amazon, Walmart and Target. Each one of these Green Employers is working to not only enhance the customers Eco-friendly Shopping experience, but they are also making some other improvements that you might find interesting.
BuyGreen is an online retail website that sells all sorts of Eco-friendly products, all across the shopping spectrum. BuyGreen actually has some pretty detailed reporting about the products they sell; listing specifics all the way down to the pollution levels when the item was manufactured.
Each product has its own specifications page and this could represent the future of online shopping; kind of like our food and the nutrient labels telling us what’s in it before we eat it. The future of shopping will tell us all about the products creation, before we make the purchase. Simple, yet innovating!
Next on our Eco-friendly Companies List is Walmart. We all know Walmart, but did you know that out of all the Eco-friendly Companies, they are the biggest? The world wide retail giant has embarked on an energy conservation plan that incorporates Wind Turbine Technology right in their parking lots. What they planning is turning their parking lot light posts into actual wind turbines that then seemingly power the store.
Walmart has also set itself a challenge and that is becoming fully powered by renewable energy and to create absolutely zero waste. While no specific date could be found as a target to achieve this goal, Walmart is actively working to change the world and set industry standards on environmental practices.
Solay Wellness – NaturalSaltLamps.com
Solay Wellness is cued on our Eco-friendly Companies List and they are one of those Green Employers that is also working to help improve mankind’s impact on our planet. When it comes to Eco-friendly Shopping online, the platform or company you are buying from is kind of inherently green because of their business plan and the benefits of online commerce. Solay is a company that sells all sorts of natural and healthy products and they work to enhance physical health; as well as mental and emotional wellness.
A featured theme that Solay presents is Himalayan Salt Crystals because of their incredible natural chemistry of over 84 different essential vitamins. It is through the difficult effort of excavating these crystals from over 250 million year old sea beds in an Eco-friendly way that qualifies Solay on our Eco-Friendly Stores Guide. Solay only purchases their wholesale supplies from environmentally conscious and safe miners of the material.
Himalayan salt crystals that are 200 million years old offer a natural healthy living green solution for improving respiratory ailments, congestion and sinus conditions. The therapeutic, eye pleasing and air purifying Himalayan salt lamps release pure mineral elements into the air with surprising and powerful benefits for Eco-friendly health and green wellness. Dismissing this unique Eco-friendly exotic light would be a mistake; just think how great of a gift these things would make.
Amazon is next on our Eco-friendly Companies List and they are an exploding popular online retail marketplace that offers a couple green benefits to their customers. Again, the fact that they are based online is a plus in the Eco-friendly checkbox, but Amazon is doing more. Amazon offers their customers specially designed shipping materials that are said to be easy to open and recycle. Green shipping means less pollution which means Amazon is getting the idea!
Target is a smaller retail outlet than Walmart, (Target is the world’s 3rd largest retailer) but that hasn’t deterred them from accepting the challenge of Going Green. Target provides an Eco-friendly Shopping experience in their promise to develop a healthy and sustainable business model for other companies to emulate. Working to increase their own standards of emissions, waste and energy consumption, Target is currently exploring additional upgrades they can make to be more appealing in today’s Eco-friendly world.
